For most of us, our smartphones have become an essential part of our lives. We can’t leave home without our phones and, as long as an internet connection is available, we’re staring at the screens looking at our friends’ latest posts on social media or playing mobile games with clanmates across the globe. Lately however, it seems that people have been using their phones for more than just fun & games.

According to this post by analytics company App Annie, global downloads of Medical apps grew to over 400 million in 2018, up 15% from 2016. At the same time, Health and Fitness apps also saw strong growth in 2018, where global consumer spend has grown 3x from 2018 to 2016. These figures show that people are beginning to rely on their smartphones to track & manage their health & wellness data as well.

Given this, I believe that 2019 will be the year where apps like Veeda can potentially take Health apps to the next level. By giving people more control over their personal health & the health of their loved ones, apps like Veeda can help people become healthier & more fit than ever.

P.S. I’ll be in Singapore next week for Echelon Asia Summit 2019. Feel free to get in touch via rcpastor@rogomi.com if you want to meet up to check out an early beta of Veeda, discuss Health & Fitness apps, or just hang out & talk about the industry,
